Well we are settling into Boise now and getting to know a few more people. When we first moved here the only couple we knew was Brookes' best friend growing up Brandon Scheaffer and his wife Nikole. We would not have made it our first few months here without them. We love doing things with them but, this weekend we branched out a little and figured it was time to meet some people in our ward. So on Friday night we went out to dinner with a couple in our ward to Carino's. It's an Italian restaurant here in Idaho. After dinner we then went back to their home and played a game called "ticket to ride". It was a fun game. We were there until almost midnight. They were a cute couple and we had a good time.
On Saturday we ran errands and drove around and looked at houses for sale here in Meridian. We have not found anything we can't live without. That evening Brooke's boss invited us out to eat with him and his wife and then to attend their sons high school basketball game. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. The dinner was very good but, unfortunately their sons team lost pretty bad. Brooke is really lucky his boss is a really good guy. We really enjoy the time we spend with him and his wife.
Sunday of course was spent at church and choir practice but, we did invite a couple in our ward here over for dinner. They live here in our apartment complex. They moved here a month before us from Idaho Falls. They brought their little girl with them and she loved following Toby around. Although, Toby was not real thrilled with the idea. He didn't like that she could also fit behind the couch. We had a nice time getting to know them. I had made dinner and she offered to bring dessert. So all in all it was a pretty busy weekend. We are getting to know people and that makes it feel more like home. Although, it would feel a lot more like home if I could have all my belongings from Ohio here with me or I actually had a home. All in due time.

Sewing and Scentsy
Sorry for being gone so long. Nothing like starting a blog and then deserting it. I had good reason I promise. I decided with the way the economy was that I would make all my Christmas gifts this year. So I spent most of the month of November sewing. You should know I only had a small knowledge of sewing when I began this undertaking and now that it is over, I realize I had a smaller amount of knowledge then I thought. Needless to say that is why it took me most of November and the first part of December. The other reason I have been gone is because of:
That's right Scentsy. I have made a goal to really get my Scentsy business up and moving this year. I made Director this fall and really want to help my team meet all their goals. So I am leaving in a few weeks to go back to Ohio to meet with all my team members. Scentsy is such an amazing company and I am really happy to be a part of it. So that's what I have been up to. Sewing and Scentsy. We also had Thanksgiving in Utah, making gingerbread houses with the in-laws, Christmas work parties, taking the nieces and nephews out for a day of bowling and Chuck E Cheese, Christmas in Ohio, lots of visiting with family and friends, and Brooke getting sick once it was all over. So here is to a new year and hoping I can blog more often.

For Peyton and Riley
Thought I would post a few pictures of our dog Toby and the dog we are watching Barkley for our niece and nephew Peyton and Riley. We are bringing Barkley back to them when we go to Utah for Thanksgiving. Toby has loved having another dog to play with. They chase each other around the apartment, wrestle, and play tug of war with a rope all day long. By the time 8:00 hits both dogs are completely worn out. Yesterday was really nice here in Meridian so Brooke and I went to a park for a picnic lunch and to let the dogs run. Here are a few pics we got.
When we got home they both crashed and slept the afternoon away.

UTAH
I was in Utah over the past week watching my 2 nieces and nephew. We had a great time. It is so fun to have such cute nieces and nephews. A few fun things from the trip were:
1. Making Homemade Chicken Nuggets and Pizza with the kids
2. Watching Kung Fu Panda and giving McKenna a manicure
3.Game Night - Consisted of Cherades and Uno Attack
4. Having lunch with old friends and family
5. Spending time talking to my nieces and nephew as I tucked them into bed
6. Seeing how big my new nephew is getting - "Oh Isaaaac"
7. Visiting with my in-laws. Brooke and I are very lucky that we both really love each others parents.
8.Shopping at Tai Pan with Tandra
9. Waking up and sleeping on the couch at 3 in the morning, because I had 2 kids and 2 dogs sleeping in bed with me while the other kid slept on the floor groaning. Needless to say everyone slept in their own beds for the rest of the week.
10. Trying to make Marshmellow puffs and having all the marshmellow leak out into the fryer.
All in all it was a good trip. I am happy to be home with Brooke and will try and take some pictures of the apartment this weekend for everyone to see.

What's in IDAHO?
This was the question asked by my extended family when we told them our plans had changed and we were moving not to Utah but, Idaho. I can honestly say at the time I was not sure what was in Idaho. I knew potatoes and knew a little bit about Boise. Having been here two weeks now I am finding all the neat things that are in Idaho. We are starting a blog because for the first time in our married life we do not live close (within a 60 mile driving radius) to any of our family. We hope by creating a blog we will be able to keep our family and friends up to date on what's in IDAHO?
p.s. If anyone wants to come visit, they do give free taters for out of staters!
